With the smell of steradent and deep heat permeating the Romford air, the over 65 round robin festival continued its tour around the South east, starting off with just four teams we now have 12 ranging from Bracknell in the west to Bexley in the south to Norwich in the east.
The Barnet Bobs opened the tournament beating the hosts Romford 4-2 and a very strong Watford team were scoring at ease in their matches.
The Barnet incredibly old bees with an average age of 75 were a joy to watch and all matches were played with a smile on the face and not a win at all cost attitude the refs did an amazing job and at the end of the festival, nearly 100 Walking Footballers had a fabulous morning , retiring to the bar area for drinks and some medals handed out to the best player from each team.
So we look to move on to our next venue if you have an over 65 team and would like to join us just contact us through this Walking Football site.
